Kawasaki Z900 Latest Updates
Due to the increase in the cost of raw materials and rising fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, Kawasaki has increased the price of the Z900, and now it costs Rs 7.69 lakh. The styling of the bike is inspired by the sinister-looking Kawasaki Z1000. It features sharp and sporty lines with an edgy headlamp, while the contrast green finish on the trellis frame looks cool. The instrument console is also new and it now sports a semi-digital instrument cluster with an analog tachometer.
The Kawasaki Z900 is a massive 20kg lighter than its predecessor. Powering the Japanese performance motorcycle is a 948cc in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is based on the Z1000’s motor. The engine churns out 125PS of power and 99Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The bike also sports a new trellis frame which Kawasaki claims have helped in reducing the curb weight and improved the handling dynamics of the motorcycle. Suspension duties are handled by 41mm inverted front forks and a horizontally mounted mono-shock at the rear. Braking is done by disc brakes on both ends, while Nissin ABS is standard. The Kawasaki Z900 competes against the Ducati Monster 821 and the Triumph Street Triple.
